But she doesn't turn her hand over for me to see. She calls, knowing she's behind but committed. She tells me this as she literally holds them in her hand. When I pointed out she shouldn't be holding them in her hand as all chips should be visible to all players, she informs me she wasn't holding them in her hand. She informs me she's not all in and shows me her remaining 6000 chips that she had been holding IN HER HAND! No chips on the table in front, but 3 or 4 chips amounting to 6000 held in her hand. On my first hand im in the BB and a player goes all in for 3 BBs. Now for a €100 on a Monday night I think that's an extremely poor structure. By now I'd lost about 20 minutes and my chip stack (20000) represented 25 BBs. At one stage I was at a table with one other person waiting for a new table to form, only to finally be put into one of the two tables already playing. I admit I haven't been there in a couple of years (there was this thing called covid going on) but really? Anyway I paid the fee and got my BS non-refundable chips in exchange (why do they do this?) And went to join the tourney, where it took about 10 minutes to get registered. I joined the sporting emporium years ago, in fact I must be one of its oldest members, but I had to join again. Queued for around 10 minutes to get in the door, only tobe told I needed to rejoin and pay the €25 membership fee. Right from the get-go it was a bad experience. Went up to play in the poker tournament (€100+20 single re-entry). I never leave reviews, but feel compelled to after tonight's experience.
